March brings the release of a line of games and collectible minis based on the upcoming Gary Ross film The Hunger Games. Based on the young adult book series, the film is set in a future world where young teens battle to the death in televised competitions.<p> The Hunger Games: District 12 Strategy Game pits two to four players in a competition to collect critical survival supplies and avoid �the Reaping.�<BR> This is a different game than The Hunger Games: Training Days released in 2010.<p> The Hunger Games: Jabberjay card game is a deduction game for five to twelve players. The goal is to identify the other players� identities and force them to flee. A two to four player cooperative game is also included, using the same deck of cards, in which players attempt to protect the citizens of the District from the Peacekeepers.<br> Jabberjay includes 52 cards and rules for both games.<p> A set of collectible, pre-painted miniatures will also be released. The Hunger Games Collectible Figures will be available in single-figure boosters, and will include a total of 27 different figures, modeled after the characters in the film. The boosters come in a gravity-feed counter-top display. Each display holds 24 packs.<p> All three new products will be shipping in early March, just before the release of the film in theaters.
