Rio Grande Games’ strategy card game Dominion Wins Mensa Award

Joins ‘Trivial Pursuit,’ ‘Magic’

We are pleased to announce that Dominion has received one of the five Mensa Mind Games� awards for 2009 that were chosen this weekend.<p> Rio Grande Games� strategy card game Dominion has received the Mensa Select seal from the well-known society for people with high IQs. <p> The award was announced at Mensa Mind Games, the organization�s combination gaming convention/awards show, which took place this last weekend in Cincinnati. It was the latest honor in a busy week for Dominion, which also was announced as a nominee for the 2009 Origins Awards this last week at GAMA Trade Show.<p> The society has given out five awards at Mind Games every year since 1990. In addition to Dominion, this year�s winners include Family Games� Stratum, Good Company games� Cornerstone, Gigamic�s Marrakech, and Mad Cave Bird Games� Tic Tac Ku. <p> Previous winners include Trivial Pursuit (Genus Edition), Magic: The Gathering, Fluxx, Apples to Apples, and Blokus.
